St Mary

St Mary’s is at the centre of Denham and is the only communal building in the village. There are services every Sunday, alternating between Morning Prayer and BCP Holy Communion.

The historic church has two exceptional monuments:

a canopied monument to the Lewkenor family a triumph of Jacobean taste, and an austere classical marble effigy of the last Sir Edward Lewkenor.

The church hosts a benefice patronal service to celebrate the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary in August and Evensong for Harvest. On Remembrance Sunday the names of those commemorated on the war memorial are read during the service.
